Updated over a month ago

Connecting your Google Search Console (GSC) account to IndexPilot takes just a minute—and once it’s set up, we’ll handle sitemap submissions, indexing checks, and error alerts for you.

Step 1: Connect Your Google Account

  1. In IndexPilot, go to Integrations → Google Search Console

  2. Click “Sign in with Google”

  3. Choose the Google account that has access to your Search Console

  4. Click “Allow” to grant IndexPilot permission

Step 2: Select Your GSC Property

  1. After connecting, you’ll see a dropdown with your GSC properties

  2. Find and select the property that matches your IndexPilot site domain

  3. Look for the “Recommended” label—this helps you quickly identify matching domains

  4. Click to select the correct property

📝 Note: If you don’t see your site listed, double-check that:

  • You’re signed into the correct Google account

  • The property is verified in Search Console

  • You're selecting the right domain-level or URL-prefix version

You’re Connected!

Once connected, IndexPilot will automatically:

  • ✅ Submit your sitemap to Google

  • 🔁 Resubmit your sitemap when content changes

  • 📈 Track indexing status over time

  • ⚠️ Alert you to indexing errors or issues

You’ll see all of this activity in your IndexPilot dashboard.

Common Questions

What type of GSC properties are supported?
Both domain-level (e.g. sc-domain:example.com) and URL-prefix (e.g. https://example.com) properties are supported.

What happens if I select the wrong property?
IndexPilot won’t be able to submit your sitemap or track data correctly. Always choose the property that matches your live site’s domain.

Can I connect multiple properties?
Yes—if you’re managing multiple sites in IndexPilot, you can connect each to its corresponding GSC property.
